Magic Cards ft. Lawn Fawn Stamps

Magic Card ft. Lawn Fawn Stamps

Every year, I sent out Valentine's Day card for my nieces, nephews, and my kiddies. I wanted to do something special that I haven't tried. I recently found out how to make a magic card.  Using these Lawn Fawn stamps, I've been dying to try out. I absolutely love their stamps, the use of inanimate objects and bringing them to life with smiling, winking, and cute faces. We love you Lawn Fawn! Keep up the creativity!

" Love n' Breakfast"  is a great all-occasion stamp set.  There's a toaster, Salt n' Pepper shakers, bacon and eggs too.

A basic magic card consists of two separate images, one stamped on clear plastic sheet and the other on any color of your choice cardstock. I used copic x-press paper (for copic coloring only) and Stampin' Up! window sheets.

I found this great tutorial from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Dawn Griffith, Magic Card I followed her tutorial and it was a great card to show off!

Supplies:
A-2 4 1/4 in. x 5 1/2 in. card
Stampin' Up! Cardstock in Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party. Designer Paper Pack.
Lawn Fawn Stamp set in "Love N' Breakfast"

Stampin' Up! Window Sheets
Stampin' Up! Ribbon Real Red
SU Emboss-lit Frames in Apothecary
SU Tiny Punch Pack
Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black

Salt Dough Recipe

For my daughter's Valentine's Day treat bags, I decided to add  2 cutter hearts in the classmate treat bag. I love learning how to make homemade anything! I found a recipe for salt dough, but decided to make it my own by using Kool Aid-not sweetened.

I cut out 66 hearts, making 2 in each condiment cup with lid from solo. Found at your local Taco Shop or Smart and Final, I asked and they gave me 70 cups and lids for $2.00.

Recipe:

1 1/4 cup of flour, keep 1/4 cup separate ( you're adding this if the dough  is too running and some for dusting on the surface)
1 1/4 cup of salt
1 1/4 cup of water
Food Coloring, Kool-Aid of your choice
Cookie Cutters,
A airtight container
Microwave
Microwave-safe bowl

I added Salt first and stirred in flour (1 cup only) and poured in water. Mix and added Kool-Aid. The more you add, the darker color. I wanted it light to go with our treat bags. Pop it in the mircowave for 30 seconds. Stir again. Add to floured surface. Place in airtight container and Enjoy!

Every year, I host a family Valentine's Day Stamp Camp. A week before Valentine's Day, I gather supplies, for our family nieces and nephew to come stamp out their V-day cards for their class and friends. It becames a potluck party as well. This year, the turnout wasn't bad and all the rage was focused on the desserts!
The stampin' was great as well. We made a total of 238 Valentine Cards for each child.

I researched how-tos on pinterest and came out so great. I also made a homemade filling using my Homemade Jam Perserves in my Food section.

I hope you have a great Valentine's Day!
