This is a card and handmade project I made for my daughter's teacher. I wanted to feature this Lawn Fawn Stamp Set "Let's roll" because I've wanted this forever. I was lucky enough to pick this up at my favorite Scrapbook store, but they didn't have the die cut yet. So I'll have to cut them out myself. The cardmaking problems. lol.

I made the card, envelope, and candy bar holder using the same scrapbook paper. It's a retired Out on a Limb Scrapbooking Paper.

Anchor's Away!

I've been very obsessed with mint colors. I decided to use a combination of dark teals and mint, and grays. The Grays are used as highlights to give a pastel-look to her hair. I decided to color her alabaster skin tone, because I really wanted her tail and hair to stand out.

I used a anchor to make my background stamp, used the continuous stamp and generation stamp techniques. In some parts of the cards its brighter and in others its lighter. I used baker's twine as a wrap around to give a nice "Sailor" -Type feel to the card. Instead of adding rhinestones, I added glossy accents  to add like water spots for the interest.

Supplies:
Top Fold Card
X-press Copic Paper
Stampin' Up!  Cardstock in Whisper White
Ranger Glossy Accents
Stampin' Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp
Avery Elle Mint Ink
Stampin' Up! Baker's Twine
Copic Markers
Tim Holtz Distress Rock Candy Stickles
SU Window Word Punch

Mermaid Ahoy!

I had so much fun creating this card. I got to see my idea come to life. I started with taking Tim Holtz Distress Ink in tumbled glass and took the direct to paper technique, tipping it so it looks like waves. I added sequins to add to the mermaid scales technique. I really wanted to use chunky glitter, an idea I saw from Paper Drama Sea Nymph card, but I didn't have any on hand. I added the tail using Violets from Copics, the Hair is a series of using Greens, and the fin is using BV's .

I added water details like spots around her tails and by her eyes, and stomach. Just give its that "sea" look.

Supplies:
Top Fold Card 4 1/4 x 11in.
Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper
Water Mister
Irredesdant Sequins (from Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit)
Copic Markers
Stampin' Up Cardstock in Whisper White

Mermaid

Inspired by a recent video on PaperDrama youtube account, Sea Mae Mermaid Image from Some Odd Girl Stamps. I decided to use what I have on hand. This is The Greeting Farm "Syren" Stamp, it's one of my favorite to color. I turned her into Ariel from the Little Mermaid, not too long ago. I'm going to be using the same color Paper Drama did for this image.

Details on the next post.
