This one pot wonder is a quick meal and a healthier choice for meat. I used ground turkey and Jasmine rice to make meal yesterday. I added bell peppers and diced onions to the mix along with some tomato and chicken stock.
It was spicy and really delicious for being ground turkey:
Supplies:
1 lb Lean Ground Turkey
1 3/4 c chicken stock
1 c of rice
2/3 c diced onions and bell peppers,
1tsp butter
2 teaspoons garlic powder (separate)
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (separate) 1 1/2 teaspoons salt (separate)
2 teaspoons paprika (separate)
1/4 c tomato sauce
Green Onions
Cheese
1. Lightly brown meat with half spices. 2. Sautee veggies (except green onions) with butter and add remaining seasonings.
3. Add tomato sauce to add tint, rice, and chicken stock to mix. Bring to.boil.
4. Cover with lid, and cook rice according to directions.
5. After rice has cooked, stir in cheese and green onions.
