Lego Pinata: Construction + Pic

My son's birthday is coming up in the next month. As I'm trying to get everything handmade, homemade, and save from buying expensive activities that are going to be destroyed in a matter of minutes. I've never made a pinata, just decorated it. Since, the party is lego-themed, I decided to take a small cardboard box, painted it, and decorated it. I was going to use a glue gun, but decided last minute to use school glue instead, because the glue gun was too hot for streamers.

Supplies:

A cardboard box
Acrylic Paint
Streamers or Crepe Paper
Tissue Paper
Cups
Paintbrushes
Scissors
Martha Stewart "Fringe" Scissors (optional)
Boxing Tape
Newspaper.
Wire

Pick your desired box, paint with your color acrylic paint of your choice. Let dry for at least 6 hours. Check to see, if paint has dried and secure with boxing tape. Cover in newspaper. Make fringe and wrap pinata. Decorate to your liking. Let dry for a couple of days before you make the holes or trap for stuffing it with candy. Use wire to hang.

Magic Cards ft. Lawn Fawn Stamps

Magic Card ft. Lawn Fawn Stamps

Every year, I sent out Valentine's Day card for my nieces, nephews, and my kiddies. I wanted to do something special that I haven't tried. I recently found out how to make a magic card.  Using these Lawn Fawn stamps, I've been dying to try out. I absolutely love their stamps, the use of inanimate objects and bringing them to life with smiling, winking, and cute faces. We love you Lawn Fawn! Keep up the creativity!

" Love n' Breakfast"  is a great all-occasion stamp set.  There's a toaster, Salt n' Pepper shakers, bacon and eggs too.

A basic magic card consists of two separate images, one stamped on clear plastic sheet and the other on any color of your choice cardstock. I used copic x-press paper (for copic coloring only) and Stampin' Up! window sheets.

I found this great tutorial from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Dawn Griffith, Magic Card I followed her tutorial and it was a great card to show off!
