HandmadeQT: Slouchy French Beret

My daughter needed a beret for a country report and presentation she was doing. I didn't want a traditional beret because she wanted to be able to wear on other occasions. I came up with a slouchy beanie beret. I added a pom-pom to the top to give it a beret look.

The pattern for this beret is quite simple. Best to do it in double crochet for added length.

Supplies:
Red Heart Yarn in Black
I- hook
stitch marker
sewing needle

Crochet in a continuous increase round until you reach your desired length.
Then, dc2tog the next 1-2 to round, then sc the last 2 rows.
Add a pom-pom for beret effect.
