HandmadeQT: Sock Monkey

A baby's sock monkey

I made this project to share a sock monkey theme I was crocheting for my cousin. Pattern is my own.

Yarn: Medium Worsted Yarn
Vanna's colors: Bright Red, White, Grey
Hook H or I
stitch markers

Row 1: chain 5 and sl st to join. 6 sc into 5th chain from hook.
Row 2: sc increase.
Row 3: 2sc in first st, 1 sc crochet in the next. Repeat all around, sl st to join.
Row 4: 2sc in first st, 1 in the next 2 stitches. Repeat all around, sl st to join.
Row 5: 2 sc in first st, 1 in the nextr 3 stitches. Repeat all around sl st to join.
Row 6:2sc in the first st, 1 in the next 4 stitches. Repeat all around, sl st to join.
* Row 7, if needed to child's head do another increase, otherwise continue to next row*
Row 8-10: sc all around until length is reached. Cut yarn finish off, weave in ends.

Ears:
Do same as Row 1
sc all around, finish off and weave in ends.
Sew with yarn needle into beanie on side.
