FoodQT : Empanadas

I made for dinner 2 nights in a row. They were delicious. These empanadas are stuffed with Picadillo. It's a latina ground beef and veggies mix, that's super delicious.

Supplies:

For dough
3 cups of flour
1 1/2 sticks of butter cold( grated )
1/2 tsp of salt
1 egg
5-6 TBSP of water

Mix all ingredients in order and Form a dough. Be careful not to overwork it.  Flatten ball slightly, wrap and place in fridge for 30 mins.  Bake at 350-400 degrees for 15-25 mins depending on size. Place on parchment paper and use egg wash to make golden brown.

For filling
1/ 2 minced onion
2 carrots, minced
2 potatoes small cubed
1.5 lbs of ground beef
Seasonings: salt,pepper, garlic, cumin
Sautéed til all veggies are soft. Then add meat and brown and cooked through. Make sure filling is cooled before placing in dough.
