FOODQT: Tres Leche Cake

This cake was made during St. Patrick's Day. My family loves tres leche cake. In English, tres leche is 3-milk cake, you add 3-different types of milk, to make a wet cake. Making it can be quite complicated. But the end result is delicious, nothing says Tres Leche like fresh fruit on top, usually strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, and peaches. Just like a tart.

I've made more simple by making a box cake, yellow mix.  Follow all direction on the box. I've also included a recipe for yellow cake mix Yellow Cake from Scratch.

Supplies:
Heavy Whipping Cream
Fresh fruit or canned fruit
1 cup of sugar
A fork
1 can of evaporate milk
1 cup of milk
1 can (8-10oz.) of evaporated milk Or check out my post on how to make your own

1. After baking cake and letting it cool, take a fork and poke holes all over the cake.  In a bowl prepare all the milks and stir until all mixed well.

2. Pour milk-mixture into the cake, slowly all over cake. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours.

3. To prepare topping, mix 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of sugar.

4. Add whipped topping after the 2hrs have passed and then cover cake and then add fruit. Cover, so it doesn't hardened.
